PERSONA 6
Everyone around the world wants to hear more about the next mainline Persona game, and while the next title is almost certainly in development at Atlus, and likely to get a bigger push in the west than previous games have, it’s unlikely we get to see Persona 6 at E3 this year. There are a number of reasons to suspect so. First, and most obviously, Atlus typically only markets and focuses on one game at a time. The next immediate game on their release slate is Shin Megami Tensei 5, so Persona 6 will have to wait for its turn until after SMT is out. Secondly, Atlus likes to reveal games on its own terms, and at its own independent events in Japan – and this is truer for Persona than anything else. While there is a significant chance we get new Persona announcements later this year (Persona concerts have been rumored for later this year after all, and this year is the series’ 25th anniversary), we almost certainly won’t see that happening at E3.
