You hungry? How about a “Jill Sandwich”? It’s a line that has taken on meme status in our industry- not just because of the bad writing (to put it mildly), but also because the way it was delivered was hilarious in a completely unintentional way. And really, that’s what essentially the entirety of the original Resident Evil 1 was like. Sure, a lot of it worked, given how intentionally campy the game was- but just because it worked doesn’t mean we can’t think back on it and laugh at how bad it was.
