YELLOW DEVIL (MEGA MAN)
Mega Man as a series has always prided itself on gruellingly tough boss encounters (and challenging gameplay even outside of boss fights), and it all started, of course, with the very first game. The boss fight that exemplifies that better than all others is the one against Yellow Devil. It’s a battle of attrition, with the big yellow blob attacking you relentlessly with devastating strikes, and only exposing its tiny weak spot for tiny windows. Accuracy and precision are key in this encounter, making it a proper challenge.
