Remember when Pokemon games weren’t cakewalks? Yeah, it was long ago, but still. The fight against Johto’s third gym leader, Whitney, was one of the hardest fights in that game, surprisingly enough. Whitney’s Militank, with its hard-hitting attacks and its ability to heal itself, was the cause of many blood pressure spikes, and though she might not seem like much on repeat playthroughs, what with the benefit of hindsight and everything, Whitney proved to be a surprisingly formidable foe when we first fought her.
