Capcom announced earlier this year that its 2019 remake of Resident Evil 2 would be coming to iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices sometime in 2024. Now, we have a specific release date for the port.

Taking to Twitter, the company announced that Resident Evil 2 will release on December 10, specifically for iPhone 16, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPad and Mac devices with an M1 chip or later.

The acclaimed survival horror title will follow in the footsteps of Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil Village, and Resident Evil 4’s remake, all of which have also launched for iPhone, iPad, and Mac over the last year. However, as per reports, all of them have failed to sell well on the new platforms, so it should be interesting to see how Resident Evil 2 fares.

Resident Evil 2 is currently available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with native physical PS5 versions also set to launch soon. Read our review of the game through here.
