Forced Gimmicks
Sorry Nintendo fans, but Star Fox Zero was a bad game. In fact Nintendo is one of the worst offenders of the forced gimmick. From the darkest days of the Wii which brought out the worst in Motion controls, to short guided tech demos masquerading as games that get frequently sold for VR headsets like The Inpatient, when a game is designed around a gimmick more than a mechanic is naturally integrated into a game, the fans can easily tell.
