Mass Effect 3
By the time Mass Effect 3 was finally released the Reapers were a very clear threat, and the games’ opening strives to make this abundantly clear. Commander Sheppard isn’t in command of the Normandy anymore, but instead enjoying retirement. He is on his way to visit the council when a Reaper descends from the sky, tearing the City of Vancouver to shreds. Sheppard makes his way across the city to get to the Normandy while fighting off Husks and avoiding the attacks from the planet destroying machines.
