THE DIVISION 2

The phrase “live service” sends shivers down the spines of the entire industry these days, with games, their developers, and their publishers often using it as an excuse to push out unfinished products with the half-hearted promise of delivering more content later. The Division 2 did no such thing. Learning from the lessons Ubisoft were taught by the first game, The Division 2 launched in an excellent state, full of content- and best of all, extremely engaging content. Post-launch issues have poured water on the excitement surrounding the game a bit, with some questionable tweaks from Ubisoft and a couple of decisions with major in-game events that have not been received very well from the playerbase, but with the promise of a year or two more of new content, all of which will be free, The Division 2 is still in an excellent place right now, and well-positioned to be the definitive looter shooter for the foreseeable future.
