Skyrim was the definition of addictiveness for a long time when it launched almost seven years ago, and it’s a testament to the game’s timeless quality that even now, that fact remains true. It doesn’t matter if you’re new to the game or if you’ve clocked in over 100 hours, getting out of Skyrim is as hard as getting into it is easy. The snowy peaks of Skyrim are a joy to explore, with something interesting to see or do around every corner. The fact that most open world games these days openly cite Skyrim as one of their inspirations (such as Breath of the Wild, for instance) shows just how influential this game was when it launched- and still remains to this day.
