MASS EFFECT: ANDROMEDA
Mass Effect is probably BioWare’s biggest IP, so they obviously had a great deal to live up to when they decided to make a sequel to the original trilogy. Set in a new galaxy hundreds of years after the trilogy with a completely new cast of characters, Andromeda was a clean break that had the potential to deliver the sort of magical, breathtaking space opera odyssey that the very first game had done back in 2007. It’s fair to say it didn’t exactly do that. This was yet another game that launched in a technically shoddy state, but even in terms of content, Andromeda ended up being underwhelming, from its weak cast of characters to its bland open world design to how few new alien races there were in the game- and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
