Though the quote could be used to address Snake’s absence after so long, there’s actually a lot more context. When Konami held its special Metal Gear Solid 25th anniversary event, there was obviously buzz on the next game being revealed. What followed was merchandise, lame announcements and pretty much nothing substantial. Of course the event ended with the reveal of Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes where Snake emerged and simply replied to the query in our minds with “Kept you waiting huh?”
