It’s hard for a shotgun – any shotgun – to not be an incredibly useful weapon in any game, but Leon’s shotgun in the RE2 remake – the W-870 – is definitely one of the best shotguns we’ve ever used in any Resident Evil game. Against stronger enemies like Lickers, the W-870 is always useful in a pinch. Meanwhile, properly line up a headshot on a zombie, and you’re pretty much guaranteed not only an instant kill, but also a morbidly beautiful explosion of chunks and blood.
