LEE EVERETT (TELLTALE’S THE WALKING DEAD)

Telltale’s The Walking Dead- Season 1’s Lee Everett is perhaps one of the best characters we’ve seen in a video game in the last few years, thanks to the fact that he was very well written and painstakingly developed by the writers over the course of five episodes. His backstory, though not particularly weird or outlandish (especially not as much as some of the ones we’ve listed in this feature), is quite heartbreaking. After Lee killed a senator who had slept with his wife, his life basically went to shit. He was arrested, his wife divorced him, and even his relationship with his father, mother and brother became extremely strained. It’s quite sad, and made even more so in light of the fact that the man eventually goes on to die an untimely death.
