The character of Sonic the Hedgehod has had quite a lot of origin stories over the years, but the one we’re talking about in this feature is the one told in the comic titled The Origin of Sonic. As per this story, Sonic was once a regular brown hedgehog, though even back then, he could run incredibly fast. After a bizarre series of events, Sonic and Dr. Eggman for some reason take part in an experiment concerned with Sonic’s speed. Sonic runs on a treadmill so fast that he ends up breaking the sound barrier, and this event, for some reason, turns him blue… yeah, what?
