When you talk about games that get you straight into the action, Vigilante 8 is an awesome example. Get in a vehicle with weapons and just drive, eliminating all in your path. It’s as simple as that. Of course, despite having only one area and a fairly straightforward objective, the Vigilante 8 demo was tons of fun. The groovy music also likely helped.
