The reason for having a slim version of the Xbox One or the PS4 does not have to be a very solid one. The fact that if you happen to own a console that’s newer and better – even if marginally – than a friend of yours can enable you to spend your days with much glee as your newfound hubris finds prey in your friend not owning the cool new console.

People may outright deny it making a difference just as some had said with the launch of the slimmer versions of the earlier gen, but somewhere deep down, it does make people question and curse inwardly.
