James Marcus’ backstory is a very interesting one, and his role in the founding of Umbrella and the creation of the t-Virus makes him an integral part of Resident Evil lore. But as far as James Marcus the character is concerned… well, you could take it or leave it. A pale dude wearing a white robe and dramatically looking at things in the distance while opera blares on in the background? No, that’s weird. That’s very weird.
