Contra 4
Much like many other games on the list, Contra 4 remains an under-appreciated entry in a well-known franchise. Easily the biggest reason for that being the case is the fact that Contra 4 skipped home console releases, and was confined to the Nintendo DS. While that system didn’t have any shortage of users, long-time series fans would rather have a proper Contra game for a console than a portable one – despite its many merits.
