Killing Visceral Games
It was a dark time for The Force. When Viceral Games, the Battlefield Hardlight and Dead Space developers were hard at work on a single player, story driven adventure title set in the Star Wars universe, and it just looked awesome. Players were excited about their Uncharted in a galaxy far, far away, or they were until EA swooped in and shut that all down. Patrick Soderlund citing in a blog post “fundemental shifts in the marketplace” and “player feedback”, but the reality felt a lot closer to them closing down the whole studio for daring to not include loot boxes.
