NO STEREOSCOPIC 3D

The one area where Pokemon Sun/Moon appear to be taking a step back from the previous games in the series is in their implementation of stereoscopic 3D- in that there is none. Unlike the previous games, which enabled 3D during battles, certain dungeons, and some cutscenes, Sun/Moon won’t run in 3D at all, except for during a photography minigame. Given how poor the performance on the older games began when you played them wth 3D, how patchy the implementation of 3D was, and how badly the performance in Sun/Moon suffers during the photography sections, this is probably for the best- but it’s still a bummer.
