Speaking of mechanical shake ups, Mega Evolutions, the signature feature of Pokemon X/Y, will be making a return to Pokemon Sun/Moon too. It does seem like they will be far more downplayed this time around, though – there don’t appear to be any new Mega Evolutions added to the game, and they are also banned from official competitive formats – but fans of the mechanic can rest easy knowing that they can still have a Mega Charizard X on their team should they so wish.
