FRANCHISE REVIVALS AND REINVENTIONS
Of course, while we’ve had plenty of great new IP, the 2010s also saw some classic franchises enjoying great success as well, either through major reinventions or through successful comebacks after long hiatuses, or a combination of both. Old franchises that we hadn’t heard from in a while – (like Wolfenstein) – came back stronger than ever, while the likes Metal Gear Solid, The Legend of Zelda, and Resident Evil managed to reinvent themselves with great aplomb.
