Destiny is a fun FPS, there’s hardly a doubt about that, but it fails utterly when you see it in the genre of an RPG or somewhere near about an MMO. The story is starkly bland and uninvolving, with NPCs that don’t matter much and even the lore isn’t as interesting as you would expect.

Here again, the comparison with Dark Souls finds its way; Dark Souls never had the story spurted out to you, but various situations, NPC interactions and even item descriptions slowly unraveled the deep lore of the game. Destiny fails to do anything of the like.
