Of course, the real star of the show in Fallout’s combat system is the VATS system, which is what makes the series’ combat as excellent as it is. It should go without saying that VATS will be making a return in Fallout 76, but given the game’s online nature (and the fact that it’s looking to make some major changes, if the reports are to be believed), that may not necessarily be true. Even so, in all likelihood, there’s a very, very, very small chance that 76 won’t have VATS.
