STAR OCEAN 4
JRPGs have always had a tendency to be overly long, often suffering from poor pacing, and Star Ocean 4 is a textbook example of that. It’s a game that certainly isn’t one without its strengths, but a couple of arcs in the story take way too long to wrap up, many dungeons feel like they’re being dragged on needlessly, and some sections in the game just feel flat-out unnecessary. It all comes together to make for the game feeling like it should have been much shorter than it was.
