ASSSASSIN’S CREED REVELATIOS
There are many who feel that to this day, Assassin’s Creed hasn’t ever been as good as it was during the days of the Ezio trilogy. Among those three games though, the third and final Asssassin’s Creed Revelations is the least celebrated. Franchise fatigue at the time was beginning to set in – especially since Revelations was a pretty iterative upgrade over Brotherhood – while fans were also starting to get impatient for Assassin’s Creed 3. Meanwhile, some of the new mechanics in the game – such as the tower defense sections – did not sit well with a lot of players. But we would actually argue that Assassin’s Creed Revelations is one of the best games in the series. It brings Ezio’s story to a close beautifully, it ties it into Altair’s story ingeniously, there’s some actual forward momentum in the present-day storyline (you know, back when that that still mattered), while Constantinople is an absolutely excellent setting.
