Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad
This tactical first person shooter came from Tripwire Interactive, better known for the Killing Floor series. Set during World War 2, with the Battle of Stalingrad, and focusing on historical detail and realistic weapons, Red Orchestra 2 was primarily for multiplayer fans. It featured multiple classes, each with their own roles, and more objective-focused game modes (though Team Deathmatch was still available). Rising Storm 2: Vietnam served as a better follow-up but Red Orchestra 2 is still remembered for its quirky controls and solid gameplay.
