Arco

arco

Described as a Mesoamerican fantasy RPG where each fight is a handcrafted bullet-hellish maelstrom, Arco is a cinematic, combat heavy adventure told from the perspective of four indigenous heroes. The game remixes turn-based battles in that both you and your enemies pause and move simultaneously in a system which combines tactical planning with instantaneously reactive manoeuvres. Scour Reddit threads though and you’ll read how numerous players are struggling to get to grips with Arco’s distinct combat, that the puzzle they present is oftentimes too obtuse to solve, with many uninstalling as a result. Get to grips with its demands however and Arco presents one of the most imaginative games released this year.
