Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)
Snazzy CG cutscenes and the promise of Sonic on the seventh-generation of consoles made Sonic 06 an intriguing concept. Unfortunately, the game quickly soured on players due to its numerous glitches, terrible camera, boring gameplay that didn’t even focus on Sonic and awful loading times. During development, Sonic 06 saw co-creator Yuji Naka resign, taking the “heart and soul” of the franchise out of the team. With the development team being split to work on Sonic and the Secret Rings for the Wii, rapidly approaching deadlines and limited resources pretty much sealed the fate of Sonic 06.
