Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem

Yes, Shadow of the Eternals was looking to spiritually succeed Eternal Darkness. However, like the previously planned sequel, it never got off the ground. It’s a shame because for all the nonsense that Silicon Knights has been involved with, Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem is a great game. The ending saw Alex emerge victorious over Pious and while three Ancients had been killed, Mantorok is teased as still being alive, “festering in its tomb…plotting.” Sorry, Mantorok but it looks like you’ll have to fester for another 15 years.
