Rage
You wouldn’t know it but id Software’s Rage was a pretty big deal. It was the company’s first new IP since Orcs and Elves, not to mention a showcase for the new id Tech 5 engine. Despite the Borderlands similarities, Rage is actually an intriguing tale and culminates in Raine, the protagonist, invading the Authority’s Capital Prime HQ to amass an army. For all the pay-off of having several Arks awakening and an army under your command, the game simply ends with that. What about the war between Resistance and the Authority? Oh well, at least we got DOOM eventually.
