As noted above, some players take joy in the mundane. Others may not enjoy Fallout 76’s quest loop, lack of NPCs and meaningful plots, or samey objectives though. Collecting junk, scavenging junk – basically anything to do with junk is kind of “eh” (and yes, that includes building which is a lot more fun in other games). That is not discounting the various other issues plaguing the game, by the way.
