While it seemed like a dream sequel at first, we’ve become a bit more skeptical about Psychonauts 2 over the years. It’s spent a long time in development and suffered numerous delays. And while this could be interpreted in many ways, Double Fine Productions’ output over the years has ranged from the above average (Broken Age, Rad) to the passable (Headlander, Hack and Slash, Costume Quest 2, Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin). While Psychonauts 2 won’t be outright bad, we’re unsure if it’s going to be as outright amazing as the first game.
