Sleeping Dogs

Sleeping Dogs

Like Terraria, Sleeping Dogs was labelled before it released. A GTA clone set amidst Hong Kong, they said. They – the ‘they’ being some major game review publications – also panned it on release. In all honesty, some of the gameplay systems in Sleeping Dogs seem at odds with each other, but once gamers started to play this game momentum only grew. The John Wu style story is principal behind its shifting fortunes, with emotional depth that’s simply absent in GTA. If there ever was a case for ignoring review scores, Sleeping Dogs is it.
