BATTLEFIELD 2042
Billed as the biggest and most epic Battlefield experience prior to launch, Battlefield 2042 seemed like it would be a return to form for the franchise. That it would turn out to be its lowest point to date was something not many people could have predicted. It went too big, and in the process ended up losing its focus, while also removing mechanics and systems that were considered by many to be staples of the franchise. And as if losing so much of Battlefield’s identity wasn’t bad enough, 2042 ended up adding insult to injury by launching with a laundry list of technical issues that made it even more difficult to enjoy.
