Dead Space 3
Dead Space’s combat hinges on using various unique weapons to dismember and brutally eviscerate the nightmares known as necromorphs. Dead Space 3 decided to take this great feature and diversify it. Weapon crafting was simple enough. Players could collect components and blueprints and put them together to create outrageous new weapons. The only problem was that most of the resources were locked behind microtransactions. Not only was it very difficult to actually gather resources, it wasn’t necessary to buy them to complete the game. This made the game’s weapons less fun and just complicated something that should have been simple and seamless.
