Long Loading Times, Especially On Consoles

A lot goes into an open world, which means a lot has to be loaded when jumping into the game. But sometimes these load times border on extreme, making you watch a bar tick up for minutes on end. ReCore had load times of nearly 2 minutes at times, and its open areas weren’t even that large. And let’s not even talk about the likes of Skyrim and Watch Dogs 2. In short loading times appearing whenever a new mission begins or entering a apartment or house is an immersion breaker.
