Animal Well
One of the more delightful and mysterious titles in years, Animal Well is the work of one individual – Billy Basso – and presents a near-endless labyrinth of discoveries. All of that is layered into a satisfying gameplay loop where every item has a unique purpose, enemies can be defeated with ingenuity, and the surrealism of the visuals makes you forget what’s truly real. The fact that it offers so much yet keeps the pacing and sense of wonder throughout is also incredible.
