Mafia 3 has been rumored and speculated upon for a long time now, but this might be the surest sign we have gotten that the game is indeed in active development, and nearing a full reveal to the public- Take-Two, the parent company for Mafia publisher 2K, has registered a number of domains that all carry the Mafia 3 name. These domains are all multiple variations on ‘Mafia 3,’ so either Take-Two just decided to troll its fanbase, or the game is indeed nearing a public announcement.

The domains that have been registered include “mafia3thegame.com,” “mafiaiiithegame.com,” “mafiathree.com,” and “mafiathreethegame.com,” according to NeoGAF users; furthermore, Daily Changes indicates that they were all registered very recently- June 25, so just at the end of last week.

Mafia 3 is widely believed to be in development at 2K Czech, for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC; if a full reveal is indeed coming our way, it will probably be at Gamescom.

Stay tuned.
