Half-Life 2
Half-Life 2 is easily one of the best sequels of all time simply because its expanded suite of ideas dwarfs the scope of the first game. The story is more impactful featuring well-written characters, and the gameplay builds upon the foundations of the original with more intense firefights and plenty of set-piece moments that will remain with you long after the credits roll. The physics-based puzzles make a return, and they strike a great balance between accessibility and brain-tickling. All in all, it’s a constant thrill ride that makes you want to keep playing for hours and hours.
