Baldur’s Gate 3
The initial pre-alpha gameplay of Baldur’s Gate 3 drew significant flak from hardcore series fans for many reasons, like being turn-based, not being dark enough, resembling the Divinity: Original Sin series, etc. The early access period also eventually had its share of doubts, especially as years passed without subsequent Acts or a release date. Nevertheless, a year after launch, Baldur’s Gate 3 remains top-tier thanks to the quality of its story-telling, characters, combat, replay value – take your pick. And though the console versions feature a good UI and controller support, PC is still the place to be.
