SILENT HILL 3
Coming off the back of the revolutionary Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill 3 had some massive shoes to fill- which is probably why it is so often forgotten by so many people. But viewed in isolation, this is an excellent game. It is a refinement of the stellar survival horror gameplay of its predecessors, it is full of typically spooky moments, and while its story is far from being as outstanding as Silent Hill 2, its focus on the town itself and its mysterious history makes for some really engaging storytelling nonetheless. Not perfect- but definitely engaging.
