CONDEMNDED: CRIMINAL ORIGINS
While most horror games work overtime to make you jump out of your skin with their scares, Condemned: Criminal Origins wants to make you uneasy in entirely different ways. There’s still enough conventional scares to go around, but the uncomfortable nature of your actions, how isolated and alone you feel in its dreary world, and how excellently it builds up its aura of mystery come together to make for a much deeper kind of horror, one that settles in the back of your skull. Condemnded: Criminal Origins can be a bit of an unpolished mess at times, but its pros far, far outweigh its cons.
