OUTLAST
Outlast is probably one of the best “jump scare, make you poop your pants” games out there. It has no qualms with taking you by surprise with its blatantly in-your-face scares, and it does it constantly. The idea that you can’t shoot at the enemies in the game or bash their skull in with your fists is pure genius- all you can do is run and hide, and the vulnerable spot that, combined with the tension of running out of batteries and being lost in the dark, puts you in for the duration of the whole game makes for an extremely scary exprience.
