Resident Evil 2 has become the gold standard for remakes, and it’s easy to see why. Capcom’s survival horror title strikes the perfect balance in being faithful to the source material and introducing its own new fresh ideas, and the end result is what might very well be one of the best survival horror games ever made. From how well it translates the original game’s ideas to its new over-the-shoulder style to just how immaculately designed the game is from beginning to end, Resident Evil 2 is a highlight for the beloved horror series.
