Forza 4
Microsoft’s premium racing franchise will not only support Kinect out of the box, but gamers will also be able to drive the cars at 60 FPS (except the replay mode which will run at 30 FPS). Drive with your controller or use Kinect, Forza 4 will prove to be a strong contender for perhaps the best racing game this generation. Although, there have been some complains from the community and fans alike, that the inclusion of 60FPS has down graded some of the textures and the environment. We shall wait and see if that is the case.
ICO HD Collection
Dont be surprised by the inclusion of a remake in this list. This HD collection, consisting of both ICO and Shadow of the Colossus will obviously look better in 1080P, updated textures and character models and the inclusion of 3D. But the game will also support 60FPS which in my opinion will bring a huge change from the original. The ones on the PlayStation 2 struggled with the frame rate, with many users experiencing rates of 8-15FPS at times. The HD Collection will probably bring in a whole new life in to the franchise.
Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection
Another collection, but its for one game specifically. As I mentioned at the beginning of this article, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty ran at a slick 60FPS and as was obvious, it blew away gamers with its fludity. However Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater ran at a 30 FPS and to make matters worse, suffered more frame rate issues when the action intensified. The HD collection will take care of this this problem by upgrading Snake Eater to a full 60 FPS experience. Snake Eater is far the best game (after Guns of the Patriots) in the Metal Gear Solid franchise, and old fans should be glad to see this inclusion.
