I know what you’re thinking, it’s not exactly like the Mario franchise is short on games, but some of the cancellations that occurred to the series between Mario 64 and Sunshine could’ve turned out to be real winners. Mario 64-2 was set to launch as a an expansion and sequel to the classic N64 platformer. Though it was to be released on the ill fated N64 DD and was very early on in production, it’s disappearance is a sad one indeed.
