TOTAKU TOYS
Amiibos are nobody’s favourite thing, but their popularity is undeniable. The line of toys made by Nintendo came out of nowhere and have been a huge source of income for the company ever since. Sony’s own line of toys, called Totaku figures, are their own attempt at cashing in on that craze as well. The figures for everybody from bearded old-man Kratos, to Bloodborne’s Hunter, to Crash Bandicoot, to PaRappa the Rapper, are well-made, so as collectibles, they’re pretty good purchases (and they don’t even cost match), but unlike Ambiibos, they’re just toys, and have no NFC functionalities. To be fair, Amiibos aren’t exactly an original idea either, and are basically lifted from Skylanders, but let’s just conveniently forget about that part for now, shall we?
