James Bond Blood Stone Team Unconcerned by Head to Head with Goldeneye 007

With James Bond Blood Stone all set for a November release, there are many who have pointed out that Activision is spamming the market with their first person shooters that month. Two of those are Bond branded shooters. One of them is the Wii remake of Goldeneye 007.

Naturally, then, you would expect the developers of the other Bond project, the Xbox 360/PS3 James Bond Blood Stone, to be slightly worried, what with the original N64 Goldeneye game being one of the most influential and greatest games of all time and all. However, unexpectedly, Bizzare Creations, the men behind Blood Stone, are unruffled by the impending face off.

“I think for us, you want to be asking the same thing to Eurocom: are they worried about being in our shadow?” stated Bizarre Creations exec Nick Davies.

“We are giving the big broad Bond experience, I think we’re giving everything a Bond fan’s going to want to see in one game. Their game’s fantastic and I think it’ll do really well. I think the two games are going out at the same time, they are going for slightly different audiences: Obviously the Wii version has got its audience, the 360, PS3, PC have got their own so I think they’re two very different games.”

“We’ll just concentrate on ours, we think we’ve got a really good package, we think we’ve got everything the players want to see and want to do as James Bond. So we think it stands alone as a big deal,” he concluded.

For those who are unaware, James Bond Blood Stone hits the PS3, Xbox 360, PC and DS this November. On the other side of the arena we have the remake of the N64 title, Goldeneye 007, which hits the Wii and DS this November.

The final Activision shooter for the month is Call of Duty: Black Ops, due for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PC and DS.

Hmm. Looks like the DS is getting the best deal, then.
