Bioshock Infinite PC graphics options revealed, runs on DirectX 10

Seems like a pretty good PC port.

Bioshock Infinite has been delayed, however, there’s some good news to come out of it as well. First, we have some amazing screenshots from the game which will no doubt give you enough confidence in Ken Levine and his team. Second, the PC graphics options are pretty good.

Lot of previews for the game went up today, and most of them were positive. Some of them praised the graphics, while some praised how fluent the gameplay was, furthermore, the game runs pretty great on the PC, as tested by PC Gamer.

They used a rig which contained an AMD FX-8120 (an octo-core CPU) and a AMD Radeon 7900 series with 16GB RAM, running on Windows 7.

According to these screenshots here, the PC version does look really crispy, and sometimes it has more to do with the fantastic art design which is reminiscent of Dishonored. The game also runs on DirectX 11 but is supposed to take advantage of DirectX 11.

  • Texture detail
  • Dynamic shadows
  • Post-processing quality
  • Light shafts
  • Ambient occlusion
  • Object detail
  • V-sync
  • FOV (a slider, with no listed value)
  • UI margins
  • Toggleable highlighting of “searchable” or “important” objects
